SPECIAL REPORT RAWALPINDI.AUG.19
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted a successful operation in Attock, seizing a large quantity of narcotics from a burned vehicle. The operation was carried out based on a tip-off, and the ANF had set up a checkpoint on the motorway. When the vehicle failed to reach the toll plaza, the ANF conducted surveillance and found the vehicle burned near the Bahatar Interchange.
The ANF recovered over 166 kilograms of hashish and 21 kilograms of opium from the vehicle, valued at millions of rupees. The suspects abandoned the vehicle and narcotics, fleeing the scene.
Despite the challenges, the ANF managed to seize the narcotics, dealing a significant blow to drug trafficking in the region. This operation demonstrates the ANF’s commitment to combating narcotics smuggling and its ability to adapt to evolving tactics used by traffickers.
