Karachi, August 19, 2025 : Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah has directed the district administrations to remain on high alert in view of the expected rains. These instructions have been issued in view of the possibility of heavy rain in the region according to the weather forecast.
Municipalities, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Health Department and Rescue 1122 have also been directed to remain vigilant. Shah emphasized the importance of rapid drainage of rainwater to avoid possible flooding. All Deputy Commissioners have been ordered to remain in the field with their teams.
K-Electric, Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) and Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) have been directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply to prevent power outages during the rains. The local administration has been directed to remain in constant contact with the Meteorological Department and PDMA to stay updated on the latest weather conditions and any possible emergency situations.
