The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has sealed two food units in Quetta for violating food safety laws. The units, a khoya supplier and a juice production unit, were found operating secretly in residential areas without proper licenses and hygiene standards.
Khoya Supplier:*
– Stored khoya in poor and unhygienic conditions
– No receipts or traceability records available
– Operating without BFA license
– *Juice Production Unit:*
– Produced beverages under fake and unregistered brands
– Raw materials and finished products stored in poor conditions
– Substandard processing line and incorrect labeling
The BFA team seized samples of four different juice brands for laboratory testing, which may prove hazardous to public health. The authority has initiated legal action against the units.
