Commissioner Makran, Qadir Bakhsh Purkani, conducted a detailed inspection of the Pak-China Friendship GDA Hospital (managed by Indus Health Network) in Gwadar. During the visit, he was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Dr. Abdul Shakoor, and District Health Officer, Dr. Abdul Latif Dashti.
The hospital’s CEO, Dr. Afaan Faiqzada, briefed the commissioner on the various departments, available facilities, and treatment systems. He highlighted that the hospital has specialist doctors providing round-the-clock services to the public without any discrimination.
The hospital has qualified specialist doctors from different parts of Pakistan, with a priority to hire local specialists.
– *Free Services:* All basic and complex tests and facilities are provided free of charge, including laboratory tests, CT scans, X-rays, and other diagnostic services.
– *Funding:* The services are funded by the Balochistan government and provided under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indus Hospital.
The CEO mentioned that the hospital has ICU and other critical machinery, which will be operational soon with the help of Chinese engineers. This will further enhance the hospital’s services and effectiveness.
