The Gilgit-Baltistan Forest, Wildlife, and Environment Department has taken stern disciplinary action against three employees for dereliction of duty, negligence, and failure to prevent illegal timber smuggling. The departmental inquiry found the employees guilty, and subsequent action was taken to ensure accountability and transparency within the departmen. One employee was terminated from service for negligence and violating rules.
– Another employee was compulsorily retired due to poor performance.
-A third employee was barred from promotion for nine years for violating departmental discipline.
The Forest Department is committed to protecting natural resources and preventing illegal activities. The department will not tolerate any violation of discipline or irresponsible behavior. These actions demonstrate the department’s resolve to maintain accountability and ensure effective service delivery.
