A police encounter in Jacobabad’s RD 52 police stationlimits has resulted in the martyrdom of Head Constable Ghulam Qadir Mehr. The incident occurred during a confrontation between police personnel and dacoits at PP Ashiqabad. DIGP Larkana, Nasir Aftab, has taken immediate notice of the incident and directed SSP Jacobabad, Muhammad Kaleem Malik, to apprehend the culprits involved in the martyr’s death.
– DIGP Larkana has ordered additional personnel and APC chains to be dispatched to Jacobabad to support the police operation.
– SSP Jacobabad is leading a large police contingent in pursuit of the dacoits.
– The police are working to bring the perpetrators to justice, and the investigation is ongoing.
Jacobabad has experienced various incidents of violence and crime in the past, including encounters between police and dacoits. The city’s location in Sindh province makes it a critical area for law enforcement agencies to maintain low and order and security .
