Karachi, August 24, 2025 Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori held a meeting with prominent business leaders to address the crumbling infrastructure and prolonged power outages in the city following recent torrential rains. The delegation, led by Businessmen Group Chairman Zubair Motiwala, included Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Javed Bilwani and other influential figures.
Federal Minister and MQM Pakistan Chairman Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, senior party leader Dr. Farooq Sattar, and Aminul Haq were also present on the occasion.
Business representatives expressed deep concern over the deteriorating city infrastructure, sewage issues, and extended power outages in industrial areas. They appealed to the Governor to take steps for immediate resolution of these problems.
Zubair Motiwala, emphasizing Karachi’s crucial role as Pakistan’s commercial hub, stated that a thriving industrial sector is indispensable for national economic growth.
Governor Tessori promised to work with the federal and provincial governments to address these challenges. He termed the business community the backbone of the economy and stressed the importance of prioritizing their concerns.
