Federal Minister Engineer Amir Maqam visits flood-affected areas of Shangla, offers condolences to victims of the recent devastating floods

Federal Minister and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Maqam, visited various flood-affected areas of Shangla to assess the situation on the ground and to offer condolences to those affected by the recent devastating floods.
He also visited the Ayesha Foundation Relief Camp established at his guest house.

Federal Minister Engineer Amir Maqam distributed relief items among the victims at the UNHCR Camp in Puran.
He also visited the flood-hit roads and areas from Shangla Top to Puran.

During his visit, Engineer Amir Maqam met with affected families, expressed condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives, and conveyed heartfelt sympathy to all those impacted by the floods.
He inspected the damaged roads and reviewed the ongoing restoration works.

Engineer Amir Maqam assured the public that the federal government stands with them in this difficult time and is fully committed to ensuring relief and rehabilitation efforts at the fastest possible pace.

While talking to the media, Engineer Amir Maqam stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is personally monitoring the relief and rehabilitation operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. He said that the federal government is closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary measures to provide complete support to the affected population.

The Federal Minister appreciated the timely actions and services of local volunteers, federal institutions, and provincial departments.
He said: “Their dedication and quick response helped mitigate the impact of this natural disaster and ensured immediate relief to the victims.”

It is worth noting that since the onset of the floods, Federal Minister Engineer Amir Maqam has continuously remained in the field—visiting affected areas, assessing the damages, meeting directly with victims, and understanding their needs and challenges. His presence has been a source of encouragement for many, as he is speeding up relief efforts through close coordination between federal and provincial institutions.

Engineer Amir Maqam once again assured that the federal government will take every possible step to restore normalcy in the affected areas and will continue to extend all possible support until complete rehabilitation is achieved.
