SPECIAL REPORT. NASEERABAD.AUG.24
The ongoing suspension of 3G and 4G internet services in Nasirabad Division has brought life to a standstill for residents, students, businessmen, and government offices. The lack of internet connectivity has severely impacted online education, e-commerce, official work, and communication systems.
Students are struggling to attend online classes and conduct research, while business owners are facing financial losses due to the suspension of digital transactions and online marketing. The shutdown has affected over 1,000 livelihoods in the online food delivery sector alone.
The public is demanding that the Balochistan government and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) restore internet services immediately to provide basic facilities to the people. According to reports, the internet shutdown is expected to last until August 31, citing security concerns

The PTA suspended mobile internet services in Balochistan, including Quetta, due to security threats. The decision was made to ensure public safety amid rising militant violence in the region. The BLA, an outlawed separatist group, has claimed responsibility for recent attacks, including a deadly suicide bombing at a crowded railway station in Quetta ².
The residents of Nasirabad Division are urging the authorities to find a solution to the internet shutdown, which has become a lifeline for daily activities. The government and PTA must balance security concerns with the need for connectivity and economic activity in the region.
