Islamabad, Aug 24,: According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent monsoon rains continue across Pakistan, with the highest rainfall recorded in Takht Bhai, Mardan district, where 89 mm of rain fell.
During the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in several areas including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Punjab, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Temperatures recorded in various cities of Pakistan on Sunday morning were as follows: Islamabad, Quetta and Muzaffarabad 22 degrees Celsius; Lahore 28 degrees Celsius; Karachi 27 degrees Celsius; Peshawar 24 degrees Celsius; Gilgit 20 degrees Celsius; and Murree 12 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for occupied Jammu and Kashmir said that several areas including Srinagar, Jammu, Ladakh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramulla will experience cloudy skies and intermittent rain with thunderstorms.
