Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A protest rally was organized under the banner of Awami Tehreek and Sindhyani Tehreek against attacks on Sindh’s unity, corporate farming, new dams, canals, and the alleged plundering of resources. The rally started from Latif Gate Tando Adam and concluded at the Press Club. A large number of citizens, including women and children, participated in the demonstration. Protesters chanted slogans such as “No to Dams,” and “Reject Corporate Farming,”.
Addressing the rally, Awami Tehreek’s Central Vice President Sattar Rind, Central Coordination Secretary Lal Jarwar, Dr. Dildar Laghari, Sindhyani Tehreek leader Shamshed Laghari, Aqeel Makorani and others said that a hybrid martial law, black laws, and worst dictatorship have been imposed in the country. They alleged that lawlessness, unrest, and so-called “dacoit rule” had been established in Sindh.
Speakers further stated that through corporate farming, Sindh’s lands were being occupied to hand them over to the United States and foreign companies. They added that the construction of new dams and canals on the Indus River is also part of this agenda. Moreover, they warned that changes in the NFC Award were a conspiracy to usurp the constitutional rights of the provinces.
