Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) On the call of the Sindh Employees Alliance, government employees across Sindh, including Tando Adam, staged a complete lockdown of schools and offices, boycotted duties, and held a protest demonstration outside the local press club against the newly introduced pension rules, non-payment of DRA allowance, Benevolent Fund, and Group Insurance. Black flags were hoisted on government offices, while employees wearing black armbands carried placards and chanted slogans against the government’s policies.

The strike and demonstrations saw participation from staff of Sir Syed High School, Shah Abdul Latif High School, Jamia Millia High School, Fatima Jinnah Girls High School, New Ali Garh Degree College, Mono Technical College, Business and Commercial Institute Tando Adam, Taluka Hospital, Revenue employees, APCA, and other provincial departments.

Addressing the protest, GSTA Sanghar district General Secretary Fazlullah Umrani, PTAlf Tando Adam president Lakhadino Khaskheli, Tanzem Usatiza district president Prof. Ahmed Bilal Ghori, Mushraff Karim, Doctors Association’s Dr. Abdul Waheed Shaikh, PMA Sindh president Dr. Basheer Khaskheli and others strongly condemned the new pension rules. They termed the decision “an economic massacre of employees,” stressing that Group Insurance, DRA allowance, and Benevolent Fund are legitimate rights of workers.

The speakers demanded that the Sindh government withdraw “anti-employee policies” to end the growing unrest among staff. They rejected the pension deductions, saying, “Pension is the last hope and lifeline for government servants; forcibly cutting it is sheer injustice and cruelty.”

Protest leaders warned that if the government fails to withdraw its decision, employees’ organizations across the province will intensify their agitation. The protest was attended in large numbers by members of GSTA, PTAlf, SPLA, Pakistan Medical Association, Paramedical Staff, Revenue employees, and other unions.
