CRIME REPORTER. KARACHI.AUG.30
A shocking report by crime reporter Dilawar Khan has exposed the alleged reign of the gutka mafia in Malir’s Model Colony, with claims that the local police are providing protection to these illicit operators. According to the report, a gutka dealer has allegedly obtained a “license” to sell gutka in the entire Model Colony area, with the local SHO reportedly receiving lakhs of rupees in bribes.
The allegations of police complicity in the gutka trade are disturbing and raise serious questions about the effectiveness of law enforcement in the area. If true, this would indicate a significant failure of the police to uphold their duty to protect the public and enforce the law.
The sale of gutka in Model Colony is likely to have a detrimental impact on the health and well-being of the local community. Gutka is a known carcinogen, and its consumption has been linked to various health problems, including oral cancer.
The report highlights the need for immediate action to be taken against the gutka mafia and corrupt police officials who are allegedly facilitating their operations. The authorities must take swift and decisive action to root out this menace and ensure that the law is enforced fairly and impartially.
