Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, held a meeting with Chairman WAPDA, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Muhammad Saeed, in Quetta to review energy projects and power-related challenges in the province.
The discussion focused on electricity supply from the national grid to Gwadar and other border areas of Balochistan, as well as progress on the project to shift agricultural tube wells to solar energy.
The Chief Minister emphasized that ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply across the province remains a top priority of the government. He stressed that close coordination with federal institutions is essential to resolve energy shortages and reduce the difficulties faced by the people.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti underlined the importance of implementing new, practical projects to overcome power shortfalls and highlighted that investment in the energy sector and improvement of infrastructure are critical for the province’s development journey.
He reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to taking all possible measures to guarantee consistent electricity supply to the people of Balochistan, particularly those living in remote areas.
