Okara, September 13, 2025 : Provincial Health Minister, Khawaja Imran Nazir, paid a surprise visit to Okara, reiterating the government’s commitment to relief efforts in flood-affected areas. During a press conference alongside the Deputy Commissioner and District Police Officer, the minister declared that the administration’s top priority is assisting flood victims. He highlighted the increased risk of snake bites following the floods and detailed the formation of a special provincial team to address such emergencies.
The minister confirmed Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s close monitoring of the crisis, with all available resources being utilized to aid those affected. He emphasized Nawaz’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to the victims. Upon receiving any reports, the rapid response team is immediately mobilized. Nazir added that cabinet members are actively engaged in serving the flood-hit population.
