CM Inaugurates Pakistan’s First Digital Finance E-Filing System in Balochistan

Quetta, September 16 — Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti inaugurated the country’s first automated digital financial e-filing system, declaring it a milestone in transparency, good governance, and technological advancement.

Speaking at the CM Secretariat, he said the system would not only streamline financial affairs but also allow citizens direct access to development project updates. Provincial ministers, MPAs, and administrative secretaries attended the ceremony.

“This is not just an e-filing mechanism but the foundation of comprehensive financial reforms,” Bugti remarked. He explained that all departments would now submit budget requests online, with approvals and records fully documented for transparency.

He stressed that the new system eliminates outdated, opaque practices, helping officers make timely and accurate decisions. Citizens, he added, would be able to monitor progress on projects via mobile or laptop.

The CM announced a one-month bonus salary for government staff who developed the system, appreciating the role of local IT experts. He confirmed that cabinet meetings would soon shift to digital tablets to reduce delays.

Earlier, Finance Secretary Imran Zarkoon presented a detailed briefing and live demonstration. Certificates were also awarded to the IT team.
