Karachi – The Customs Agents Association elections are proceeding without any signs of open conflict, with the issue of 46 cancelled licenses resolved and only 12 licenses still pending reinstatement, said Haji Asif Sakhi, Leader of the Customs Agents Alliance, in a statement. He accused opponents of spreading false statements for cheap publicity.

Sakhi highlighted that the resolution of the license cancellations was achieved through the Alliance’s efforts, adding that the remaining 12 licenses would be restored soon. “This is why the Karachi customs community stands united with us,” he stated. He emphasized the Alliance’s commitment to merit-based practices and noted that the elections, scheduled for September 27, are being conducted in a peaceful environment with significant enthusiasm among agents.

Urging the customs community to ignore misinformation, Sakhi called on members to focus their energies on the upcoming elections. “On September 27, the results will speak for themselves,” he concluded, expressing confidence in the support of the customs community and the smooth conduct of the polls.
