Islamabad – In its ongoing fight against drug trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted three operations nationwide, resulting in the arrest of five individuals and the recovery of 62.989 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs 4.9 million in the illegal market.

In Peshawar, ANF intercepted two suspects near Ring Road and recovered 3.6 kg of hashish. The accused admitted during interrogation that they had been supplying narcotics to students of educational institutions, highlighting the growing challenge of drugs targeting youth.

At Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, officials foiled a smuggling attempt when a passenger bound for Bahrain was found carrying 1.5 kg of crystal meth (Ice) hidden in luggage.

Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, ANF seized 57.6 kg of hashish cleverly concealed inside paper rollers from two passengers traveling in a public transport vehicle.

The ANF registered all cases under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and reaffirmed its zero-tolerance approach toward narcotics smuggling, particularly in areas endangering youth and international travel routes.
