Quetta, September 26, 2025:
The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has intensified its campaign against adulterated dairy products, ensuring strict monitoring of milk and yogurt supplies across Quetta and adjoining areas. Launched on September 10, the drive has targeted substandard supplies and adulteration, with authorities vowing to provide citizens safe and quality food.
According to officials, six milk vendors were fined during the latest inspections, while several shopkeepers were issued corrective instructions. During the operation, 150 liters of adulterated milk and a significant quantity of substandard yogurt were destroyed. In total, 18 milk carrier vehicles and 17 milk shops underwent detailed checks, with 4,220 liters of milk and hundreds of kilograms of yogurt immediately tested on the spot.
Inspection points were set up at Puranasbzal, Nawan Killi, and Jattak Stop, where vehicles supplying milk to the city were thoroughly examined. The BFA reaffirmed its commitment to continue indiscriminate and uninterrupted action against the adulteration mafia, declaring that safe and quality food for the public remains its top priority.
