Dadu (Report by Qurban Khuhso) – In a major humanitarian initiative, Martin Dow Medicine Group, in collaboration with the Muhammad Javed Akani Foundation, organized a one-day free medical camp in the flood-affected Kacha area of Union Council Umiani, Allah Bakhsh Chhajro, Jhallo.
A team of specialist doctors from Karachi, Nawabshah, Hyderabad, and Dadu examined over 500 patients and distributed free medicines at the BHU Health Center Jhallo. The medical team included pediatricians, lady gynecologists, dermatologists, general physicians, and paramedical staff.
The camp primarily treated patients suffering from gastroenteritis, diarrhea, abdominal diseases, skin infections, and malnutrition, ailments that have become widespread in rural areas due to stagnant floodwater.
Organizers Syed Hashim Shah Zaidi, Sajid Salman, Rana Naveed, Ikhtiar Charan, and others said the initiative aimed to support underprivileged flood-hit communities of Sindh, where access to healthcare remains a critical challenge.
Local villagers expressed deep gratitude for the medical camp, terming it a timely relief in the wake of the devastating floods.
