Deputy Commissioner Jaffarabad, Khalid Khan, along with Executive Engineer PHE Muhammad Kazim Luni, reviewed the long-delayed Public Health Engineering (PHE) Phase-II Scheme.
The project, approved under the Balochistan Special Development Initiative, aims to address chronic issues of clean drinking water supply. Kazim Luni briefed that budget allocation has been ensured, including repairs of filtration pond roofs, machinery upgradation, and other measures to remove all bottlenecks. Work has already started, and completion will bring long-awaited relief to residents.
The Deputy Commissioner said the scheme was approved keeping public welfare in mind and warned that no negligence would be tolerated. He reaffirmed that the project will be completed as per PC-1 standards to provide safe drinking water at the earliest, in line with directives of CM Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan
