Quetta, September 29:Commissioner Quetta Division Shahzeb Khan Kakar has said that the Bostan Special Economic Zone holds great significance for the industrial and economic development of Balochistan, and this project will play a pivotal role in transforming the region’s future in the near term.He expressed these views during his visit to the Bostan Special Economic Zone along with Vice Chairman of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade, Bilal Khan Kakar and Secretary Industries Muhammad Khalid Sarparah On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Pishin Mansoor Ahmed Qazi, Director Special Economic Zones Asif Khosa, senior officials, and local tribal elders were also present.During the visit, an important meeting was held with representatives of local tribes, where detailed discussions were held regarding the allotment of land in the area. The Commissioner assured that all matters related to land allotment will be addressed in a transparent, fair, and merit-based manner while ensuring that the local tribes are fully taken into confidence. He further stated that the Bostan Economic Zone would not only accelerate industrial development in the province but also create wide-ranging employment opportunities for the local population.On this occasion, Vice Chairman of BBoIT Bilal Khan Kakar said that both domestic and foreign investors are showing growing interest in the Bostan Special Economic Zone, and large-scale investment projects are being initiated here. According to him, the establishment of diverse industries in the zone will usher in a new era of prosperity and development in the region while also contributing to the long-term stability of Balochistan’s economy.The participants unanimously agreed that local communities would be provided with facilities on a priority basis so that they become true stakeholders in this project. It was also decided that matters relating to land allotment and investment would be expedited to ensure that the development process moves forward without any hindrance.
