Deputy Commissioner Jaffarabad Reviews Preparations for National Polio Immunization Campaign

Jaffarabad, September 29, 2025 — Deputy Commissioner Jaffarabad, Khalid Khan, conducted a detailed review of the two-day training program for Union Council Medical Officers (UCMOs) and Area In-Charges ahead of the National Polio Immunization Drive (NID) scheduled from October 13 to 16, 2025.

During the review, Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Solangi briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the various stages of training and ongoing campaign activities. District Health Officer Jaffarabad, Dr. Shaukat Ali Khosa, was also present.

Deputy Commissioner Khalid Khan emphasized that the success of the polio campaign is a top priority for both the government and the district administration. He directed that all available resources be deployed to ensure effective implementation. He noted that with the onset of winter, the risk of polio virus spread increases, making it a national responsibility to ensure the campaign’s success.

He instructed Area In-Charges and UCMOs to perform their duties under effective strategies, ensuring that every child receives the polio vaccine within the scheduled days, leaving no room for gaps in campaign outcomes. He also urged officers to strictly monitor field teams and implement public awareness campaigns to educate parents on their responsibility to vaccinate children against polio.

The Deputy Commissioner concluded by stating that all relevant departments are aligned in the fight against polio, and the success of the campaign depends on a collective effort by all stakeholders.
