Islamabad – October 1: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out a major nationwide crackdown against drug traffickers, conducting five successful operations in different cities. During the operations, ANF apprehended five accused individuals and recovered a total of 271.7 kilograms of narcotics worth more than PKR 62 million.
Inter-Provincial Drug Interdiction
Multan (Sher Shah Toll Plaza): ANF seized 8 kilograms of Ice (crystal meth) hidden in cartons containing 1,452 apples from a truck. Two accused were arrested.
Islamabad (Motorway Toll Plaza): ANF recovered 3 kilograms of heroin from a vehicle and arrested two suspects.
Domestic Drug Interdiction
Quetta (Kachalak Bypass Desert Area): 225 kilograms of opium recovered.
Gwadar (Jiwani): 11.7 kilograms of weed recovered from shrubs.
Hyderabad: 24 kilograms of hashish recovered from an accused.
All cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA-1997) and investigations are underway.
ANF Spokesperson stated that the force is committed to eradicating drug trafficking networks and ensuring a drug-free Pakistan.
