Quetta, 4 October 2025 — Governor Balochistan Jafar Khan Mandokhail has said that while good teachers are essential for students’ bright futures, no teacher surpasses a mother, whose nurturing role remains unmatched.
Addressing a grand ceremony at Wilderness School and College Quetta, the Governor highlighted that education is the foundation of every nation’s progress and urged parents to focus on their children’s moral and character development.
> “Teachers must align themselves with modern educational trends and keep their minds illuminated with knowledge and wisdom,” the Governor remarked.
He noted that extracurricular activities are equally vital for nurturing students’ hidden talents, describing them as an integral part of education.
The Governor appreciated the role of private educational institutions in promoting literacy, citing Wilderness School and College as a model example that has grown “from a sapling to a mighty tree” over 26 years under the leadership of Director Erum Ghazi and her team.
Highlighting the rising importance of computer sciences, research, and artificial intelligence, Governor Mandokhail urged students to focus on modern, demand-driven knowledge.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of shields among guests and gold medals to students who achieved top positions in Federal Board Examinations
