ANF’s Crackdown Against Drug Traffickers Nationwide

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its operations against drug traffickers, particularly around educational institutions and across major cities in the country.

During six operations, four suspects were arrested, and a total of 83 kilograms of narcotics worth more than PKR 8.4 million were recovered.

Educational Institutions Drug Interdiction

Near the Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad, 300 grams of Ice were recovered from a vehicle.

The arrested suspect confessed to selling narcotics to students of educational institutions.

 

International Drug Interdiction

At a courier office in Multan, 120 grams of cocaine concealed in boxes of cream were recovered from a parcel sent from Scotland.

 

Domestic Drug Interdiction

Near a hotel in Pishin, Quetta, 65 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody.

Near Ring Road, Peshawar, 6 kilograms of opium were recovered from a motorcyclist.

At a courier office in Rawalpindi, 2.310 kilograms of opium concealed in cream boxes were seized from a parcel sent from Peshawar.

 

Inter-Provincial Drug Interdiction

Near Qutbal Toll Plaza, Attock, 9.6 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle. The accused was arrested on the spot.

 

Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997 (CNSA-1997), and further investigations are underway.
