Pakistan to Maintain International Relations Based on National Interest — No Change in Policy Regarding Israel, Says Security Sources
Security sources have stated that Pakistan’s foreign relations are, and will continue to be, guided by its national and public interests. Every decision made by the state is in line with Pakistan’s sovereign priorities.
According to the sources, the mining and minerals sector requires strategic patience and substantial investment for sustainable development. Pakistan will work with various countries, companies, and investors to explore and utilize its natural resources. Partnerships with nations such as China, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and others will be formed in line with national interests and ground realities.
The sources clarified that the article published in the Financial Times refers to a proposed Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Pakistan’s coastal belt holds immense potential for the establishment of multiple commercial ports, which could significantly strengthen the national economy.
They emphasized that countries around the world continuously evaluate such partnerships, and Pakistan will ensure its interests remain paramount in all international engagements.
Responding to a question about the Gaza peace initiative and the recognition of Israel, the sources categorically stated that there has been no change in Pakistan’s policy.
> “Pakistan has not recognized Israel, nor is there any contemplation of doing so. There can be no consideration of recognition until the Palestinian people are granted their full and rightful independence,” the sources reaffirmed.
They added that Pakistan’s immediate concern is to ensure an end to the ongoing genocide and violence in Gaza and to facilitate humanitarian relief for the victims.
Security sources further noted that connections between certain political elements and criminal networks have hindered progress in the fight against terrorism. However, the country’s security forces have effectively dismantled a significant portion of the nexus between smuggling and terrorism.
The complete elimination of this threat, they said, requires sincere implementation of the National Action Plan with full cooperation from all stakeholders and state institutions.
