Former Chief Minister of Balochistan and Provincial Assembly member Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch chaired a high-level meeting at the Commissioner’s Office, Makran, Turbat, focusing on Turbat city’s sewerage system improvement and urban infrastructure development. The meeting was attended by Commissioner Makran Qadir Bakhsh Parkani, Justice (R) Shakil Ahmed Baloch, former District Council Chairman Haji Fida Hussain Dashti, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tabish Ali Baloch, Deputy Project Director Turbat City Development Project Bahram Gachki, Project Engineer Qasim Gachki, and other key officials.
Addressing the meeting, Dr. Baloch emphasized that Turbat is the heart of Kech District and the center of Makran Division, making its roads and sewerage system a top government priority. He directed civil engineers to consider sewerage lines and natural water flow during road construction to prevent flooding and drainage problems during the monsoon season.
He instructed Turbat Municipal Corporation and relevant departments to prepare a comprehensive urban working plan to ensure the city develops in a clean, modern, and sustainable manner. The meeting also discussed the possibility of recycling wastewater for reuse, promoting environmental sustainability.
