Development Projects Under BSDI to Be Completed on Time: DC Sibi
Media urged to monitor progress and highlight public issues — Major (R) Elyas Kbzai
Sibi (Abbas Chishti) — Deputy Commissioner Sibi, Major (R) Elyas Kbzai, has said that all ongoing development projects under the Balochistan Special Development Initiative (BSDI) will be completed on time, while work on approved schemes under Phase 2 will also commence soon.
He expressed these views while talking to the media during his visit to the under-construction hall of the Sibi Press Club. On the occasion, Wing Commander Major Zubair Ahmed, SDO Urban Planning Muhammad Hanif, and PS to DC Faheem Ahmed Qureshi were also present.
Upon his arrival, President of Sibi Press Club Haji Saeeduddin Tariq and other office-bearers welcomed the Deputy Commissioner. Major (R) Elyas Kbzai inspected the construction site and directed the contractor to ensure quality work, warning that negligence in the project would not be tolerated.
The DC also reviewed other sections of the Press Club and lauded the efforts of journalists for their active reporting. He urged the media to closely monitor the development works being carried out under the BSDI and to immediately report any shortcomings to the administration so that corrective measures could be taken in time.
Major (R) Elyas Kbzai said that funds allocated under the Balochistan Special Fund are being utilized based on public feedback and collective needs. He noted that most complaints raised during open courts were related to electricity, clean drinking water, and health facilities — issues that are now being addressed to provide maximum relief to the people.
He further informed that around 60 percent of schools in Sibi have been converted to solar power, while the Sibi City Police Station, Sadar Police Station, and the Women Police Station have also been shifted entirely to the solar energy system.
The DC reaffirmed that the Sibi administration is making every effort to resolve public grievances raised during open forums and appreciated the Sibi Press Club for effectively highlighting civic issues and playing a constructive role in community awareness.
