CM Mir Sarfraz Bugti Reaffirms PPP’s Resolve Against Terrorism in Meeting with Zhob and Qila Saifullah Supporters
Quetta, October 9, 2025:
Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti met with workers and supporters of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) from Zhob Division and Qila Saifullah on Thursday, reiterating the party’s long-standing stance against terrorism and vowing to preserve public order at all costs.
Speaking at the gathering—hosted under the leadership of senior party coordinator Syed Iqbal Shah—CM Bugti paid tribute to PPP leaders and activists who sacrificed their lives in the fight against militancy. He specifically remembered shaheed Rani, calling her a great leader whose service and sacrifice exemplify the party’s commitment to confronting violent extremism. “Our line against terrorism has always been clear,” he said, adding that the party has lost leaders and workers in this struggle but remains steadfast.
Referring to recent national events, the chief minister said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari made his position against terrorism unambiguously clear at Ghari Khuda Bakhsh. CM Bugti contrasted the present security environment with conditions when his government took office—recalling that the “red zone” had been closed—but asserting that today no road is blocked and even eight political parties together cannot shut down major routes. “We will not allow our roads to be closed; we will confront terrorism and preserve peace at any cost,” he declared.
The meeting also covered the broader political and security situation in Balochistan. CM Bugti urged unity among political ranks and stressed the importance of collective resolve in defending the state against violent actors. He affirmed the provincial government’s commitment to safeguard public life and ensure that commerce, transit and daily routines remain uninterrupted for the people.
Party workers present at the meeting voiced support for the chief minister’s stance and pledged to cooperate with civil and security authorities to maintain law and order in their constituencies. The session concluded with calls for continued solidarity and practical support for anti-terror measures across the province
