FC KP North Raises Awareness in Dir on Explosive Hazards

Joint campaign with District Administration and Red Crescent educates citizens on safety from explosive remnants and IEDs

Dir – October 09, 2025:
Frontier Corps (FC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North, in collaboration with the District Administration and the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Lower Dir, organized an awareness session at Government High School Shahi to educate the public on the dangers of explosive remnants and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

The initiative aimed to raise community awareness about the deadly risks of unexploded ordnance and to promote precautionary measures ensuring public safety.

During the session, experts delivered a detailed briefing on identifying explosive materials, recognizing warning signs, and adopting safe practices to prevent accidents.

A large number of students, community elders, and local residents attended the session, reflecting strong public interest and growing awareness. Informative pamphlets were distributed to maximize the reach of safety information.

Children were given special instructions to stay away from any suspicious object and to immediately inform an elder or relevant authority.

The campaign was widely appreciated by the community, who reaffirmed their full support for the Pakistan Army’s continued efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.

Local elders noted that such awareness drives not only help save lives but also play a key role in fostering a peaceful and secure society.
