Heavy Traffic Entry Banned in Islamabad — Diversion Plan Issued Around Faizabad Area
Islamabad, October 10, 2025:
Islamabad Police have issued a detailed traffic diversion plan around the Faizabad area in view of the prevailing law and order situation. According to the spokesperson of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), citizens are advised to follow alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.
It has been officially notified that entry of all types of heavy traffic into Islamabad remains suspended until further orders.
Diversions for light traffic have been set up at multiple points including Rawal Dam Chowk, Garden Flyover, Khanna Pul, Ninth Avenue, Zero Point, and Koral.
Commuters traveling between Islamabad and Rawalpindi are advised to use Srinagar Highway, Park Road, Lehtrar Road, and Kashmir Chowk as alternative routes.
ITP has urged citizens to stay updated on live traffic information via FM 92.4 and the official ITP WhatsApp Channel.
