The Secretary Health Balochistan briefed the Federal Minister for Health, Mustafa Kamal, on the provincial government’s extensive reform initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery, governance, and digitalization within the department.
The Secretary highlighted the positive outcomes of these reforms in enhancing service efficiency and public accessibility. He also presented detailed information on specialized healthcare and medical education reforms currently underway across the province.
Federal Minister Mustafa Kamal appreciated the efforts led by Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar and the Health Secretary’s team, describing their achievements as a model for other provinces.
Reviewing data related to the Balochistan Health Card Program, the Minister termed the province’s two-year performance exemplary and called health insurance schemes the future of Pakistan’s healthcare system.
He assured that the federal government would extend full cooperation to Balochistan, particularly in medical education and institutional reforms, and announced that a high-level meeting would soon be convened to jointly address the province’s health challenges and priorities through a coordinated national strategy.
