Sibi Assistant Commissioner Refutes Social Media Claims on Overpriced Chicken and Tomatoes

Sibi, October 16, 2025 — Assistant Commissioner Mansoor Ali Shah conducted an inspection of local markets to verify reports of inflated chicken and tomato prices circulating on social media.

The inspection revealed that chicken meat was being sold at Rs. 530–600 per kg and tomatoes at Rs. 250–300 per kg, contrary to the exaggerated claims of Rs. 800 and Rs. 400 respectively.

The AC directed shopkeepers to prominently display official price lists and ensure compliance with approved rates, warning that violators would face legal action for profiteering.
