Islamabad Police Ensures Safety as DIG Reviews Law & Order; Traffic Advisory Issued Ahead of Cricket Matches

Islamabad Police, under the leadership of DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq, conducted inspections at multiple duty points across the city to assess the overall law and order situation. During the visits, officers and personnel were directed to remain vigilant and alert at all times. DIG Tariq emphasized that the safety and security of citizens is a top priority, warning that any act of mischief, illegal activity, or violation of law will be dealt with immediately. He appealed to the public to cooperate with police and avoid participating in any unlawful activities.
In a related update, the Islamabad Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory ahead of upcoming cricket events:
Practice sessions will be held on Saturday and Sunday, with Test matches scheduled from October 20 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Traffic flow on Express Highway and Srinagar Highway may be affected during peak hours.
Citizens are advised to allow extra travel time and can contact 15 or Traffic Helpline 1915 for emergencies.
DIG Tariq reiterated that maintaining peace and public safety in Islamabad is a continuous mission, and the police will ensure smooth traffic management during sporting events to minimize inconvenience for residents.
