Amir of Tanzeem-e-Islami, Shujauddin Sheikh, has strongly condemned Israel for allegedly violating the Gaza ceasefire agreement and continuing its attacks despite signing the first phase of the truce. He urged Pakistan’s political and influential circles to demand accountability from Israel and its allies instead of extending admiration to former US President Donald Trump.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Sheikh said that deceit and betrayal were ingrained in Israel’s political conduct, adding that Tanzeem-e-Islami had consistently expressed reservations about peace agreements with Israel. He accused the Zionist state and its ally, the United States, of deceitfully violating the ceasefire by continuing strikes and blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Sheikh criticized Pakistan’s leadership for broadcasting Trump’s speech live on national television and lauding him despite what he termed as war crimes. “If Pakistan’s influential circles can sing praises of Trump, they should also demand a response to Israel’s violation of the agreement,” he said, noting that Trump himself admitted in the Israeli parliament that American weapons were used in the ongoing bombing of Gaza.

Calling for Muslim unity, Sheikh stressed that the guarantor countries of the ceasefire—Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar—must hold Israel and its partners accountable for their actions. He concluded that the Muslim Ummah must move beyond words and take collective practical steps to counter Israel’s “malicious designs” and safeguard the rights of Palestinians
