Karachi, October 23, 2025 – The YANGWANG U9 Xtreme has shattered records as the fastest electric hypercar around Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife. On August 22, 2025, the U9 Xtreme completed the 20.832 km “Green Hell” circuit in 6 minutes 59.157 seconds, becoming the first electric supercar to break the seven-minute barrier.
Driven by Moritz Kranz, a seasoned GT racer, the car demonstrated its engineering prowess with four high-performance motors delivering over 3,000PS, a power-to-weight ratio of 1,217PS per tonne, and advanced technologies like body-attitude control and DiSus-X intelligent body systems.
BYD Executive Vice President Stella Li remarked, “The U9 Xtreme proves that high-speed performance and precise track handling can coexist, setting new global benchmarks for electric hypercars.”
The limited-edition U9 Xtreme, built on BYD’s 1200V ultra-high-voltage e⁴ Platform, features redesigned cooling, titanium-alloy carbon-ceramic brakes, and GitiSport e·GTR² PRO semi-slick tires. Only 30 units will be produced, offering elite collectors a blend of ultimate speed, track capability, and cutting-edge EV technology.
