The Government of Balochistan has launched the “Kumak Programme,” a comprehensive welfare and livelihood support initiative aimed at assisting families affected by terrorism, poverty, and underdevelopment.

Under the programme, the provincial government will provide financial aid, skill training, and healthcare support to vulnerable communities across the province. The initiative seeks to create a sustainable safety net for marginalized citizens while promoting self-reliance and inclusion.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the initiative reflects the government’s belief that “sustainable peace can only be achieved through human development.” He emphasized that investing in people — particularly youth and women — is central to building a strong, stable, and dignified Balochistan.

He reaffirmed that the provincial administration will continue prioritizing welfare programmes that strengthen social resilience, economic participation, and regional stability.
