Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Sohail Afridi Prioritizes Development Projects in Merged Districts

PESHAWAR, Nov 6, 2025: – Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, chaired a key meeting of the Communications and Works Department to review ongoing and upcoming development projects in merged districts.

He directed officials to complete land acquisition for Tehsil and District Complexes within a month and start physical work from December. Emphasizing efficient service delivery, CM Afridi called for timely completion of projects with no delays.

Officials reported 595 road sector schemes under the Annual Development Program, with over PKR 53 billion allocated, while 204 projects are near completion. In merged districts, 556 schemes across 27 sectors are ongoing, with PKR 95 billion allocated and over PKR 58 billion released so far.

Despite limited federal resources, CM Afridi reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to advancing development in merged districts and ensuring efficient use of all available funds.
