Sibi Police Hosts Anti-Corruption Seminar to Promote Transparency and Civic Responsibility

SIBI — The Sibi Police organized a dignified Anti-Corruption Seminar at the Sibi Public Library as part of the Anti-Corruption Week campaign. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sibi, Shahnawaz Chachar, attended the seminar as the chief guest.

The event was attended by DSP Legal Naimat Khan, retired SP and Administrator Police Welfare Sibi Shahid Kamal Silachi, Mir Shahbaz Barozai, Aftab Khilji, Khuda Bakhsh Dehpal, Accountant Muhammad Akram Khajak, Reader Muhammad Anwar Khajak, PRO Muhammad Tahir Abbas, along with officers, teachers, civil society members, and a large number of students from various educational institutions.

The seminar began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Malaika performed the duties of stage secretary.

Addressing the seminar, SSP Shahnawaz Chachar, Aftab Khilji, Khuda Bakhsh Dehpal, Nihal Khan and others emphasized that corruption weakens national institutions, fuels injustice, creates economic imbalance, and erodes public trust. They stated that corruption remains one of the greatest obstacles to Pakistan’s progress, and eliminating it requires close cooperation between law-enforcement agencies and the public.

The SSP reiterated that Sibi Police follows a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and continues to take measures to ensure merit, transparency, and self-accountability within the force to further strengthen public confidence.

Students also presented speeches on the theme of anti-corruption, receiving appreciation from the audience.

Participants pledged to uphold honesty, accountability, and responsibility in their daily lives and to play an active role in raising awareness against corruption. They lauded the Sibi Police for organizing this meaningful and constructive initiative, noting that such awareness programs are essential for bringing positive change to society.
