Islamabad, December 5, 2025: Federal Minister for Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Safran Affairs, Engineer Amir Maqam, has congratulated Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on his appointment as Chief of Defence Staff (CDS). The minister described the appointment as a testament to Field Marshal Munir’s exceptional leadership and a commendable step for national defense.
Engineer Amir Maqam lauded the CDS for providing a decisive response to Indian aggression, stating that the nation takes pride in his courage and dedication. He emphasized that the entire country stands united with the Pakistan Armed Forces and their Commander-in-Chief.
The federal minister also extended congratulations to Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Baber Sidhu on the extension of his tenure by two years and prayed for continued success in fulfilling this vital responsibility.
