Preparations for Quetta LG polls enter final stage by district administration & ECP

QUETTA: The preparations for 2025 local government elections by the district administration and Election Commission have entered their final stages.
In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Quetta, which was attended by all returning officers, district election commissioner and police officials.
During the meeting, detailed briefing was given regarding the local body elections scheduled for December 28.
The meeting also discussed a comprehensive strategy concerning polling stations, polling booths, sensitive polling stations and their security.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all returning officers to thoroughly inspect all polling stations, ensuring the immediate provision of electricity, water, lighting and other essential facilities.
He emphasized that all polling stations should be provided with adequate security, while sensitive polling stations should be given foolproof security.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that conducting free, fair and peaceful elections is an important national responsibility.
The district administration and all concerned institutions, following government directives, are fully active and striving to ensure the peaceful conduct of the local body elections.
