Polio Campaign Performance Reviewed in Loralai Division Meeting

Loralai — A high-level meeting regarding the ongoing anti-polio campaign was held at the Commissioner’s Office, chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ejaz Jaffar. The session reviewed performance indicators across Loralai, Zhob, and Sherani districts.

The District Health Officer briefed participants on immunization targets and progress. In Loralai, 60,888 children were targeted, with 41,967 vaccinated across 22 teams supervised by 190 officers. In Zhob, 51,224 children were targeted with 35,714 vaccinated by 14 teams, while Sherani recorded significant shortfalls, with only 661 children vaccinated out of a 19,242 target.

The meeting also examined operational challenges, coverage gaps, security concerns, and the need for improved coordination. Representatives from WHO, UNICEF, DMS, and relevant departments attended.

ADC Ejaz Jaffar directed all officers to accelerate the campaign, ensure no child is missed, and strengthen field monitoring. He stressed that eliminating polio requires coordinated efforts and strict adherence to national health guidelines.
