Khuzdar: Under the guidance of DIG Kalat Range, Wazir Khan Nasir, a significant public forum was organized at Suhail Rahman Hall, Khuzdar, by the Police Department. The open court was attended by DIG Kalat Range Wazir Khan Nasir, SSP Khuzdar Shehzada Umar Abbas Baber, Additional SP Abdul Quddus Dahwar, and other senior police officials.
The forum brought together citizens from various walks of life to present their concerns and suggestions directly to police authorities. The primary objective of the open court was to hear public grievances firsthand, address their concerns, and strengthen the relationship between the police and the community.
Participants raised a wide range of issues, including drug trafficking, deteriorating law and order, increasing traffic congestion, insufficient police stations, and alleged bias and favoritism in police operations. Citizens expressed appreciation that DIG Kalat Range had swiftly convened the forum, assuring the public that their issues would not only be heard but would also be addressed through practical measures.
The performance and sincere efforts of SSP Khuzdar Shehzada Umar Abbas Baber were also highly praised by attendees. Notable participants included Advocate Bashir Ahmed Jatak, President of All-Parties Citizen Action Committee; Hafiz Hamidullah Mengal, President of Bazaar Traders Association; Zamindar Action Committee President Abdul Wahab Ghulamani; Mir Masood Ahmed Mengal; Saddam Baloch; Abdul Qadir Zahri; Mir Jumma Khan Shakarani; Wadera Molabakhsh Jamot; Naveed Ahmed Mengal; Idris Zahri; social worker Huma Raisani; Hafiz Jameel Abrar; Raza Muhammad Khadrani; Khalil Ahmed Gargnari; Haji Muhammad Iqbal Baloch; Farzana Jamot; minority leader Basant Kumar; Chaudhry Sarfaraz Masih; and Adu Hamid Mardoi, among others.
DIG Kalat Range and SSP Khuzdar attentively listened to all concerns, suggestions, and complaints and issued on-the-spot directives to address several issues. Police officials assured that immediate and effective measures would be taken to resolve presented problems, utilizing all available resources to meet public expectations.
The forum was also attended by local police officers, including DSP Muhammad Rafiq Mengal, DSP Headquarters Haji Amir Bakhsh, SHO City Abdullah Ghazi, SHO Saddar Muhammad Yousuf Chandio, Reserve Inspector Abdullah Chanal, Munir Alam Jatak, and members of the local press, including Danish Mengal, Bashir Ahmed Raisani, Iqbal Sheikh, Abdul Wahid Rand, and Altaf Bajoi.
Concluding the event, DIG Kalat Range emphasized that public cooperation is essential for maintaining peace. He stated that the police and community must work together to rid the city of drugs, crime, and insecurity. He further announced that such open forums would continue to ensure that public concerns are heard directly and addressed promptly.
