Customs Seize Smuggled Goods Worth Rs24 Billion in Major Quetta Crackdown

Customs Enforcement authorities in Quetta have seized smuggled goods worth approximately Rs24 billion in a major operation conducted on the basis of credible intelligence. The crackdown was carried out under the directives of the Collector Customs Enforcement Quetta, with support from other law enforcement agencies.

 

According to customs officials, the confiscated items included skimmed milk powder, auto spare parts, flavoured pan masala, power banks, and a Hino truck used for transportation. Multiple warehouses were raided during the operation, where illegally imported goods were found stockpiled.

 

All seized items and vehicles have been taken into custody, and formal legal proceedings have been initiated under the Customs Act, 1969. Officials stated that investigations are ongoing to identify the individuals and networks involved in the smuggling operation.

 

A spokesperson for the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reiterated that smuggling and tax evasion severely undermine the national economy and vowed that strict enforcement actions would continue across the country. Authorities emphasized that no individual or group involved in illegal trade would be spared, as the government remains committed to protecting legitimate businesses and revenue streams.
