DIG Larkana Holds Open-Door Meetings, Orders Immediate Redress of Public Complaints

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Larkana Range, Nasser Aftab, continued his open-door policy by holding meetings with complainants and citizens from all five districts of the Larkana Range at his office, reinforcing the police department’s commitment to public service and transparency.

During the meetings, DIG Nasser Aftab personally listened to a wide range of complaints and grievances raised by citizens related to policing, investigations, and law-and-order issues. Taking prompt action, he issued on-the-spot instructions to concerned police officers for the immediate resolution of several cases, emphasizing timely justice and relief for the public.

For matters requiring deeper scrutiny, DIG Larkana ordered formal inquiries and directed that these cases be forwarded to the respective Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) of the Larkana Range, as well as to the Range Inquiry Officer. He stressed that all inquiries must be conducted in a fair, transparent, and impartial manner to ensure that justice is served without delay or discrimination.

Speaking on the occasion, DIG Nasser Aftab stated that addressing public grievances and restoring citizens’ confidence in the police force remain his top priorities. He reiterated that negligence, misconduct, or injustice by any police officer would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Members of the public welcomed the initiative, describing the open-door policy as a positive and practical step toward strengthening trust between law enforcement agencies and the community, and improving overall policing standards in the Larkana Range.
