LAHORE, Jan 02: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has released its Annual Performance Report for 2025, highlighting significant progress in public safety, emergency response, and the integration of advanced technologies across the province.
According to a PSCA spokesperson, the Smart Safe Cities Project was further expanded during 2025 and is now fully operational in 24 cities of Punjab, marking a major step toward making the province safer, more integrated, and technologically advanced. During the year, Emergency Helpline 15 received over 15 million calls, all handled through improved and efficient response mechanisms.
The spokesperson said that the Virtual Women Police Station provided immediate legal assistance to more than 541,760 women, while the Virtual Center for Child Safety resolved over 100,000 cases, successfully reuniting 58,570 missing children with their families. The Virtual Blood Bank facilitated timely blood arrangements for more than 48,000 patients, and the Virtual Center for Minorities resolved over 4,418 cases, ensuring protection and support for minority communities.
In addition, over 345 emergencies were addressed through the Emergency Panic Button. More than 1,500 Wi-Fi hotspots were activated under the CM Free Wi-Fi Project, while the Public Safety App crossed 1.4 million downloads. The introduction of thermal and docking drones significantly enhanced rapid emergency response. Implementation of the Intelligent Traffic Management System led to a 47 percent reduction in traffic accidents, while the ‘Meri Pehchan’ project helped reunite 5,000 unidentified and elderly individuals with their families.
The spokesperson reaffirmed PSCA’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property through innovation and technology.
