Commissioner Loralai Division Wali Muhammad Baloch has highlighted that development projects go beyond mere construction of roads and buildings, serving as crucial pillars for public trust, community prosperity, and a brighter future for residents.
He made these remarks while receiving a detailed briefing from Executive Engineer Buildings & Roads Barkhan, Fazal Muhammad Zarkoon, on the progress of ongoing development schemes in Barkhan District. The briefing included updates on educational, judicial, residential, and road infrastructure projects, outlining current achievements, challenges faced, and upcoming targets.
Key projects in the building sector include the construction of Girls Inter College Rakhni, Boys Inter College Rarkhan, Prosecution Staff Office and Residential Building (Phase-II) Rakhni, upgradation of Government High School Rakhni, Doctors Colony Barkhan, Social Welfare Office, and Social Welfare Hall Barkhan. These initiatives are aimed at improving educational access, reinforcing administrative and judicial facilities, and providing enhanced residential amenities for government employees.
Road development projects under execution include Kodi to Konal Bargahiani Road, BT Road Syed Muhammad Rand, Main Rakhni Road to Basti Mewa Pakhta Road, Basti Fazal Khan to Chori Road, Wanga to Zori Road, and Baghao Road to Nakami BT Road, along with other blacktop schemes. These works are expected to boost regional connectivity and facilitate smoother transportation across the district.
Commissioner Wali Muhammad Baloch expressed satisfaction with the progress and instructed officials to ensure that all projects are completed with transparency, high-quality standards, and within the scheduled timelines. He reiterated that the Government of Balochistan is prioritizing the development of underdeveloped regions.
Local residents and social organizations have welcomed the initiatives, praising the efforts of the provincial government and district administration, while expressing hope that timely completion of these projects will enhance living standards and contribute to economic growth in Barkhan.
