Pakistan–US CT Exercise Inspired Gambit Begins

RAWALPINDI, Jan 10: The 13th Pakistan–United States bilateral joint exercise, Inspired Gambit–2026, commenced on January 9 at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Pabbi, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Friday.

The two-week exercise is being conducted in the counter-terrorism domain and involves professional contingents from the armies of Pakistan and the United States. Officials from both sides attended the opening ceremony.
The exercise aims to enhance mutual understanding and interoperability through the sharing of counter-terrorism experiences, while refining tactics, techniques and procedures essential for effective operations. Special emphasis is being placed on marksmanship skills in urban warfare, as well as understanding each other’s operational doctrines and best practices.
ISPR said such joint training is vital for addressing evolving security challenges, improving professional standards and strengthening the ability of both forces to operate in complex counter-terrorism environments.
