The elections of the Quetta District Archery Association for the next four years have been completed.

The elections of the Quetta District Archery Association for the four-year term 2026–2029 have been successfully completed. In the newly elected cabinet, Muhammad Shehzad Tareen was elected President, Gul Muhammad Noorzai as General Secretary, and Sardar Muhammad as Finance Secretary.
It is worth mentioning that no opposing panel contested the elections. The process was conducted in an organized manner under the supervision of the Election Committee Chairman Faizullah Kakar, with members Zahoor Ahmed Reki and Najeebullah Achakzai. Presidents and General Secretaries of all clubs of Quetta District participated, and the constitutional office-bearers were elected for the next four years through a show of hands.
On this occasion, newly elected President Muhammad Shehzad Tareen, while addressing the gathering, said that the responsibility entrusted to him in the field of archery cannot be fulfilled without the cooperation of his colleagues. He thanked all those who expressed confidence in him and elected him to the position of President. He said he would move forward together with his colleagues to improve the sport of archery and to provide equal and quality opportunities to players.
The newly elected President further stated that all possible efforts would be made to promote archery in Quetta and to provide healthy activities for the youth, as young people are our greatest asset and sports are a reliable means of leading a disciplined life. He said that Balochistan has players full of potential, but due to the lack of grounds and necessary facilities, they are forced to play in streets and neighborhoods. Athletes are ambassadors of their province and country, and it is the responsibility of the government to provide them with facilities.
He added that sports teach discipline, hard work, and teamwork. They are the best way to engage youth in constructive activities and protect them from social evils. The promotion of sports leads to the formation of a healthy society, and bringing youth towards sports grounds is a top priority.
